Project Samples
These samples show some of what I've done, but they're not all I can do for you. Skills like interviewing people for magazine articles easily transfer to interviewing your satisfied customers for full-length case studies or short testimonial blog posts. My writing and design skills are adaptable and always growing to meet my clients' needs. If you need something I haven't done, I'll find out how to do it.

Accent Monthly
Magazine Article
April 2018
Accent Monthly, published by the Utica (NY) Observer-Dispatch, covers local stories in greater depth than the daily newspapers' time and space allows. In this issue, I interviewed Pam Matt, Executive Director of the Young Scholars Liberty Partnership Program based at Utica College, and Eva Mroczek, Coordinator of the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Program. Eva's inspiring life story - going from her immigration as a child to her Ph.D. with the help of the Young Scholars Program - was a great honor and joy to write.
Fantastic article about Young Scholars! You wrote an amazing piece and hit all of the benchmarks for our program. That is talent!
~Pam Matt, Executive Director Young Scholars Liberty Partnership Program

Accent Monthly
Magazine Article
May 2018
For this Accent Monthly article, I grabbed my camera and joined Gabe and Cliff Oram, a father and son team who started a very popular Facebook page dedicated to promoting the beauty and history of the Mohawk Valley. I learned some interesting historical facts and some very handy photography tips too.
"Sue came along on a photo journey with my father and I, and it was a lot of fun to say the least! She is an excellent writer and judging by the way she portrayed us in the article, she really seems to understand what we're trying to do with this project. Thank you for the amazing write up, Sue!! Your talents are only matched by your friendliness and kind heart!"

Website Design and Content
March 2018

Darren Pollack managed rental properties for a few landlords, but he had ambitions to grow his business bigger. For that he needed a website. I interviewed Darren at a local coffee shop and learned all about his expertise and seven years of success in managing rentals. And I was impressed by the research he had done on Airbnb rentals.
Listening carefully to Darren's vision for his business, I crafted what he told me into website content for his Home, About, Contact and two Services Pages. I also shot the photos and designed a logo for his site and graphics for his Facebook Page.
I built his site on Weebly to make it easy for him to make updates on his own. I have since discovered Wix, which is what I used to design the Green Pencil Content website. It's a little more expensive but offers a lot more design options.
Susan designed and created a fabulous website for the launch of my business, Pollack’s Property Management.
She takes the time to really understand the message you want to convey. She worked closely every step of the way and made sure I understood what the process was too. She provided all the proper links, photos and info I needed to get up and running.
A very professional website exactly how I wanted it. Thank you Sue!

Email Newsletter, Facebook Management and Event Promotion
February 2016 - Present

As Public Relations Officer for Craobh Dugan, I redesigned and expanded this nonprofit organization's website using Weebly and wrote a new page to help sell the CD the band recorded. I also set up a Facebook Page and YouTube Channel for the group. I use these platforms to promote the group's events and the CD.
I also publish a monthly email newsletter for the group using MailChimp.
As a member of the social media team for the Great American Irish Festival, I'm tasked with researching items of interest to Irish culture fans to be posted on the GAIF social profiles.
Sue Romero our 'web-master' and tech-genius is keeping our website and Facebook page current and full of interesting things. Currently, Sue is creating a YouTube site for Craobh Dugan. She also is responsible for the art and design of the cover of our CD. Many thanks to Sue for her time, effort, and creativity in keeping Craobh Dugan current on the world-wide web!!

Jeff Smith had worked hard on his family farm for over 30 years, but when milk prices sank, he needed to use his entrepreneurial skills to expand into an additional business.
He started Cedarville Striping, a service for business owners, schools, municipalities and other people with parking lots and athletic courts in need of fresh new markings.
I designed his logo, built his website on Wix, wrote his web content, and developed his local SEO.
